Swell Report Canggu/Pererenan Rivermouth

Its a perfect morning at Canggu/Pererenan Beach with glassy 2-3ft sets coming, blue skies and light cross-shore wind. Sandbanks, rivermouth and stairs are working well allthough the tide is still very low. Below you see a photo of Rivermouth from about 9AM this morning.

Greg Miller - Athlete and avid longboarder

September last year we had the great pleasure to welcome Greg Miller and his friend Chris Connely at our surfcamp on bali. Both are not only avid surfers but also all-around-nice-guys, great fun hanging out and go surfing with.

Greg Miller is owner of the surfers-hotel Sandpiper Lodge, Playa Hermosa in Costa Rica and a true athlete. He is the current land speed record holder (65.4 mph on a lightweight bike version of the Gold Rush) and did fly an ultra-light, muscle-powered grossamer albatross-plane over the british channel.

Close to our Surf camp in Bali, you'll find the well known Echo-Beach area. Echo-Beach, located just north of the Old-Mans and Batu-Bolong surf spots, stretches from the northern end of Canggu towards the less know area of Pererenan.

On the Canggu side you can find a nice selection of beach restaurants, best known for the nightly BBQ's as well as one of the biggest surf-shops around. The most renowned restaurant is the australien managed Echo Beachhouse which gave the place its western name but it pays off to checkout the other restaurants and warungs as well if you are there.
